Now I am able to recognize the different emotions I am feeling and I have different strategies for managing my emotions. Before, when I was feeling different emotions, I’d let them overtake me, especially during conflict. I’d end up saying things I couldn’t take back and acting out in ways I wasn’t proud of. Ruth also gave me different tools for communicating better in my marriage. While I went through my sessions for me, my husband was able to see a positive change in me after just a few sessions with Ruth. I took a lot of notes during my sessions and I feel confident moving forward knowing that I have the notes to refer to if I ever feel like I’m slipping up or having a hard time!
